The success story of Yünsa, one of the five largest integrated worsted manufacturers in the world, started in 1973. Having started its operations by producing high quality menswear fabric, Yünsa incorporated women's clothing into its portfolio in 1998.
Exporting to more than fifty countries, Yünsa, with its largest market in Germany, is also a supplier of major international fashion brands. While contributing to the Turkish economy with its high export power, it is one of the leading brands representing Turkey successfully in the international arena with top-segment and innovative products. As the largest integrated worsted producer in Europe, Yünsa produces 4,500 tonnes of yarn annually and has the capacity to weave 10 million metres of fabric.
While a large part of Yünsa’s product portfolio consists of 100% wool; blended fabrics such as cashmere, silk, viscose...etc. are available in its rich product range. Developed with new generation technologies, Yünsa fabrics have finishing features such as water repellent, UV protected, self-cleaning, natural stretching…etc. Yünsa fabrics also have Marks&Spencer, Next and Interwoollabs laboratory accreditations.

Since its publicly held in 1990, Yünsa has been continuing its successful activities with the goal of “sustainable profitability that creates value for all of its investors and stakeholders”. On 24th October 2019, with the approval by the Competition Board, shares of Yünsa were purchased from Sabancı Holding by Sürmegöz Tekstil Yatırım A.Ş. The 42.12% shares are publicly traded on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
