A.Ş., TS EN ISO 9001 & 14001 and ISO 45001 Integrated Management System covers Financial Affairs, Corporate Communications as ISO 9001 at Istanbul Headquarter, Marketing and Sales, Foreign Trade, Export Operations, Customs Clearance, management and administrative organization activities and related operations and related production and service offerings as ISO 9001 & 14001 & ISO 45001 within the area where it is established in Çerkezköy factory and also includes import, export, transit, customs clearance and foreign trade operations and all processes related to these operations in logistics, warehousing, Trade Accounting, Cost Accounting, Budget and Reporting, Finance and Investor Relations, Finishing, Dyeing, Yarn, Warping and Weaving, Quality Assurance and Customer Technical Services, Production Planning and S&OP, Design and Collection, R&D, Maintenance and Energy department, Warehouses, Boiler Air Conditioning and Cafeteria; Human Resources, Organization and System Development, Information Technologies, Purchasing and Logistics departments.

Within this framework that the system has been created;

  • It binds our managers, employees, trainees, contractors, cleaning and cafeteria staff, visitors and suppliers within the workplace,
  • It closely concerns our neighbors, external suppliers, customers, professional organizations of which we are members, environmental and governmental organizations.

For this purpose it targets to create a sustainable value through “Green YÜNSA” change, which has set a global example, by raising an awareness in employees and the society.

OUR PRINCIPLES FOR A SUSTAINABLE WORKING LIFE
 
1. For a sustainable working life; our priority is to provide a working environment where
ethical values are upheld,
mutual trust is established,
the ownership of responsibilities is taken,
achievements are recognized,
diversity and difference are respected,
views and expectations are considered,
work and personal life balance is considered,
policies and practices are carried out beyond legal requirements.
2. It is essential that all practices regarding our employees are carried out in compliance with legal regulations on working life, human rights and ethical values.
 
3. Child workers under the age of 15 cannot be employed in our company. (Labor Law No. 4857)
 
4. Our trainees (young employees) who are undergoing vocational training in our company are employed in accordance with the requirements of the Vocational Training Law No. 3308. It is forbidden for trainees to work and practice in dangerous and very dangerous works at the workshops, offices, and general areas of the departments they are affiliated with, in accordance with the Regulation on Dangerous and Very Dangerous Works.
 
5. Although it has been committed that child labor cannot be employed in our company, in the event that child labor is detected, the child's family (mother, father and relatives) and law enforcement units are immediately informed. If their family and relatives are far away, support is provided for their transportation. In addition, action is taken for the rehabilitation of the child and support is provided for the child to continue his/her education. Training on age verification is provided to the recruitment specialist, the security unit, and managers in the unit where the child worker is employed.
 
6. In our company, all employees work voluntarily and without any threat of punishment. Workers cannot be forced or indebted, employees cannot be required to leave their identity cards or a certain deposit to the enterprise, illegal labor and prison labor cannot be practiced. Forced labor and prison labor cannot be practiced through the relinquishment of workers' identities. Our company does not contract/outsource works to prisons. Employees leave the workplace freely at the end of their employment.
 
7. Our employees' rights to organize, unionize and collective bargaining, which are among the most fundamental rights of employees, are respected, and with this understanding, constructive relations based on mutual goodwill are carried out with the union to which our employees are affiliated. In order to maintain labor peace, the union is consulted and involved in decision-making processes on employee issues outside of the contract process. It is ensured that employees are not discriminated against or retaliated against due to their union membership/non-membership or activities.
 
8. It is unacceptable to discriminate against employees and applicants for employment in our company on the basis of language, race, color, sex, political opinion, creed, religion, sect, age, physical disability, health (HIV), pregnancy, breastfeeding/not breastfeeding, nationality/hometown, union/association membership/non-membership, sexual orientation, marital status, family responsibilities (elderly, dependent), unconscious bias, disciplinary procedures, termination of employment contract. Everyone who works at Yünsa is provided with equal opportunities without discrimination within the framework of the Constitution and all relevant laws. Within this scope, no discriminatory medical test can be requested from employees and employee candidates regarding their private life and personal areas (gender, sexuality, pregnancy, etc.).
 
9. In our company, a positive and harmonious working environment that supports cooperation is created, conflict is prevented and people with different beliefs, thoughts, and opinions are ensured to work in harmony.
 
10. Employees' private lives and personal spaces are respected.
 
11. Communications between individuals cannot be violated by non-parties.
 
12. Even if it is recorded in accordance with the law, unlawful disclosure/dissemination/possession of personal data to others is prohibited.
 
13. Personal information about employees that arises from the nature of the business relationship in the workplace and that may be necessary for the continuation of the business relationship will not be used for purposes other than those for which it is intended and will not be disclosed to third parties without the consent of the individuals.
 
14. All employees' private and family life is respected.
 
15. In addition to all kinds of inviolabilities of the employees; physical, sexual and emotional inviolabilities are also observed.
 
16. Any violation of the inviolability of the employees by physical, sexual and/or emotional abuse at the business place or any location they are working is against the laws and ethical rules and this crime is not tolerated by our Company by no manner of means. The purpose of this practice is to ensure that employees work in a safe working environment where their physical, sexual and emotional inviolabilities are protected. There shall be no discrimination of any kind against any employee within the framework of the constitution and relevant laws. The same conditions will be applied to the victim of harassment, regardless of his or her subordinate, superior, position or department in the organization's hierarchy.
 
17. Violation of a person's bodily inviolability via sexual acts and/or sexual abuse of a person without physical contact is defined as sexual abuse. Accordingly, it is forbidden to show any behavior that can be considered within this definition.
 
18. In addition, no tolerance is shown to those who engage in negative attitudes and behaviors towards people complaining and reporting any abuse or assisting during the investigation.
 
19. No employee can request any privileged treatment due to different gender, religion, language, race, no privilege is shown to any of the employees and cannot be subject to a special treatment. It is unacceptable to make or receive concessions by taking advantage of differences such as gender, religion, language, and race.
 
20. In case of harassment and discrimination, employees can apply to the Code of Ethics Advisor.
 
21. In the event of harassment, the employee may contact Human Resources, the Ethics Committee, law enforcement, the Disciplinary Board or women's organizations (NGOs). Harassment will be dealt with promptly if he/she reports it to the appropriate workplace authorities. Actions are taken to rehabilitate the harassed employee.
 
22. The physical working environment and working conditions of the business place is provided to be healthy and safe for all the employees.
 
23. The social and cultural rights of our employees, which are integral to human dignity and the free development of individual personalities, are respected.
 
24. With the Declaration of Equality at the Workplace, our company commits to oppose gender discrimination, not to discriminate between female and male employees under the roof of Yünsa, to make efforts to include women in business life, and to stand against gender-based violence.
 
25. Yünsa is a party to ILO (International Labor Organization) and acts according to the provisions of the convention on weekly rest (Industry) No. 14, Minimum Wage Determination Methodology Convention No. 26, Forced Labour Convention No. 29, Minimum Age (Industry) Convention No. 59 (Revised), Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Unionize Convention No. 87, and Wage Protection Convention No. 95, Convention No. 98 on the Right to Organize and Collective Bargaining, Convention No. 100 on Equal Remuneration, Convention No. 102 on Social Security (Minimum Standards), Convention No. 105 on the Abolition of Forced Labour, Convention No. 111 on Discrimination (Business and Occupation), Convention No. 138 on Minimum Age, Convention No. 158 on Termination of Employment.
 
26. Our Company supports our female employees by creating positive discrimination by providing kindergarten schook service for the children of our female employees.
 
27. All employees of our company are equal without any discrimination in accordance with the Constitutional principle of equality regarding the law. Remuneration policy is applied to male and female employees of same seniority and position based on the principle of equality without gender discrimination.
 
28. Our company is committed to providing a workplace free from violence and harassment for all employees, interns, volunteers, job applicants, former employees, third parties (including suppliers, subcontractors, and customers), and disadvantaged groups. We adhere to a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of violence or harassment. We comply with national and international laws, referring to ILO Convention No. 190 and Recommendation No. 206.
Violence and harassment are defined according to ILO Convention No. 190 as “a range of unacceptable behaviors and practices, or threats thereof, that aim to, result in, or are likely to result in physical, psychological, sexual, or economic harm, whether a single occurrence or repeated, and includes gender-based violence and harassment.”
The scope of application includes incidents occurring within the physical boundaries of the workplace, situations related to work outside of the workplace, and digital communications (such as email, phone calls, and video conferences). Additionally, the impact of domestic violence on workplace harmony, employment, productivity, and job security is also considered. Training and awareness-raising activities are conducted to prevent violence and harassment and to promote understanding.
 

 

It is our policy to conduct verification studies by ensuring that climate change and greenhouse gas emissions are calculated, reported, and reduced, beyond our environmental responsibilities. To this end, in addition to creating economic value, we aim to create sustainable value that sets an example for the textile industry in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by constantly raising the awareness of all our stakeholders, taking into account our social and environmental responsibilities.

Besides calculating greenhouse gas emissions beyond our environmental responsibilities, it is our principle to report and reduce our water footprint and conduct verification studies by ensuring the reduction of our water footprint on this path we have taken to protect our water resources. Thus, beyond the creation of economic value, it aims to create sustainable value that sets an example for the textile industry in the reduction and efficient use of water consumption, constantly raising the awareness of all our stakeholders by considering our social and environmental responsibilities.

  • Appropriate water resources, their quantity, quality, and distribution for the calculation methodology,
  • Identify opportunities to reduce potential water-related environmental impacts,

  • Provide consistent and reliable information based on scientific evidence for reporting water footprint results,
  • Facilitate the optimization of water efficiency and water management at the product, process and organizational levels,
  • Inform decision-makers in industry, government, or NGOs about potential water-related environmental impacts (e.g. for strategic planning, priority setting, product or process design or redesign, resource investment decisions),
  • Provide transparent reporting.
